JEWELLERY MAINTENANCE
Jewellery is delicate and should be handled with care.
STERLING SILVER ADJUSTABLE RINGS
The adjustable rings can be gently adjusted until it fits your finger. Once the size is correct use and wear as you would a solid ring. repeated opening and closing can cause a a weakness in the metal and could result in the ring breaking.
SILVER PLATED BANGLES
The bangles can be gently opened if required to fit your wrist. The bangles can also be closed gently to fit smaller size wrists if required. Repeated opening and closing could cause weakness in the metal.
JEWELLERY CARE
Sterling silver jewellery will naturally tarnish but this can be removed by cleaning your jewellery. Tarnish can be accelerated by moisture, humidity and direct sunlight. When not wearing your jewellery it is advised to store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, for example a jewellery box.
To clean your jewellery please follow the steps that best describe your pieces.
FOR STERLING SILVER JEWELLERY
Clean with a silver polishing cloth or, if required, a silver jewellery cleaning solution. You can also soak your jewellery in a solution of warm water with washing up liquid and gently clean with a soft cloth then rinse thoroughly, to remove any soap residue, and dry with a soft cloth.
FOR JEWELLERY WITH RESIN (INCLUDING STERLING SILVER AND SILVER PLATED)
Please note that resin can be affected by jewellery cleaning solutions, please avoid using these.
Clean jewellery using a solution of warm water and washing up liquid. Soak the jewellery in a dish of warm soapy water for a few minutes, gently clean using a soft cloth, rinse the jewellery thoroughly in clean warm water to remove any soap residue and then dry with a soft cloth.
FOR JEWELLERY WITH GEMSTONES AND PEARLS
Gemstones and pearls can be fragile and can be damaged by some cleaning solutions.
To clean, use a soft dry cloth to rub over the jewellery or dip the cloth in a solution of warm water with washing up liquid and wipe over, rinse in clean warm water to remove any soap residue and dry with a lint free cloth.
